The Annual Election of directors was held Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009. The following were elected for a 3-year term:
Michael L. Bean, York Township; Bruce Lackey, Dover Township; Ron Llewellyn, Athens Township; Rick Six, Waterloo Township;
Larry Buggs Stalder, Waterloo Township; John A. Williams, Carthage Township. Immediately following the election, the annual organizational meeting was held.
The following officers were elected: President-Brian Llewellyn; Vice-President-Reid Hart; Secretary-Danny Simons; Treasurer-Paula Carpenter

Notice: Open Class Premium Money Distribution To Change--Effective with the 2009 Athens County Fair, distribution of your open class premium money is changing. Open Class premiums will now be paid in cash, no more checks. Any open class premium money not claimed by close of the fair on August 14, 2010 will be forfeited. The board will no longer mail checks to exhibitors who fail to pick up their premium money. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
