164th 2015 Athens County Fair

Notice to all market exhibitors: Due to the increase in cost for market animal tag-in, the tag-in fee has been increased to $3.00 per animal/pen.
This year we will use the 840 EID tags, as requested by the State, to tag all market animals, except poultry and rabbits.
Notice to all market beef exhibitors:
Market Beef tag-in is December 13, 2014, 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.
All market beef must be brought to the fairgrounds on December 13, 2014, 12 noon to 1:00 p.m., to have a tag put in their ear and a hair sample taken.
Exhibitors planning to show at the AGR steer show in Columbus, Ohio, must receive pre-approval to miss market beef tag-in. Those who receive approval must turn in their completed market beef card, hair sample and tag-in fee, on December 12, 2014, 4:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., at the Sale Committee office. The market beef attending the AGR do not have to be brought to the fairground to be tagged, but you must provide the State EID number to the sale committee.
Exhibitors showing in the AGR Beef Show are required to have their show beef tagged with the State EID. It is a Federal Offense to remove an 840 EID tag, therefore, the State EID tag will be used as the tag for the county fair purposes
